Nate's Art Lab Retreat

Welcome to Nate's Art Lab RETREAT!

I am excited to once again host a fluid art retreat - and this time it will be held at the Catalyst Collaborative Arts Center in Tucson, Arizona! The dates are Wednesday - Friday, October 8-10, 2025

The fun and interactive workshops are designed for all skill levels, making it easy for anyone to discover their creativity in a safe, professional and collaborative setting. Whether you’re looking to expand your creativity, build on existing skills, or connect with other artists with similar interests, this retreat is for you!

The workshops follow three main themes:

Art Theory

We will start each day with a presentation and group discussion on three main topics:

Color Theory

Finding Your Unique Style

Mindful Embellishments

For these workshops, we will be working individually and in teams when we paint!

Essential Skills

In the 'Like a Pro' workshops, we will be practicing the three of the main ways fluid artists MOVE the paint:

Swiping

Blowing

Tilting

Specific Techniques

We will close out each day practicing specific techniques that are both challenging and fun to create!

Since this is an art lab, we will be working individually and in teams to maximize the learning and build strong connections. You will finish each workshop with a beautiful piece of art to take home, but be prepared to be challenged! I want you to experiment, try new things, and break out of your comfort zones.
